Automatic Test Signal

I was looking through my timeline and I have noticed that every day, I have had an automatic test signal received message at 9:37pm. Except for yesterday. Yesterday I had no messages about automatic test signals at all. What does this mean? Does it mean that my base wasn't sent a test signal, or does it mean that one was sent and that my base didn't receive it? I see no errors and the only message I see for yesterday was when I disarmed my alarm when I got up.

Sluggish, stuttering simplicam

I just installed a simplicam and recorded a couple of videos on it. It is not recording most of the frames. The picture keeps skipping and making me look like I'm moving very quickly. I have a 1GB symetrical connection with a router about 10 feet away from the camera.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? It is completely useless, the way it's functioning right now.

Remote Management Not Functional

Can anyone advise me on my remote management not functioning? I've had my system activated for 11 days and still am unable to arm/disarm my system remotely either from a browser or from the app. I can arm/disarm from the keypad with no problem. My cameras are functional and recording properly in the app. I can see them live and see the recordings on the timeline tab.

camera stopped working. Shows offline

I have several Simplisafe camera on my system and all work fine except one, which shows offline. There is no indicator light of any color, so what's the problem?

Suggestions for installing video doorbell without existing doorbell.

I really want to use the video doorbell for the garage door since that is the door we use all the time. However it does not have an exiting doorbell.
There is a garage door opener button right near the door and an electric socket about four feet away.
What would be the best way of installing the video doorbell?

Smart lock won't calibrate

Neither of the 2 smart locks I ordered would calibrate. Base is able to add the lock just fine but when it asks to 'lock' the lock manually and calibrate, it fails to calibrate. Says "there was a problem calibrating the lock. Please call us to troubleshoot". Called customer service twice. First, they couldn't figure out so sent me a new lock which ALSO won't calibrate. Second time they made sure system was up to date, asked me to remove the battery from the base (sort of reboot), deleted and added ther lock a couple times, held the test button on the lock for 10 seconds etc.

Camera Settings-Voice Talk

So, I have two cameras. Both work, record, zoom etc... In the camera settings in the app, the one camera shows a picture quality setting, that is default to 720p and it can't be changed, but it shows that setting. I think this is the camera that came with my system. I can press the mic button on the app and it allows me to talk through my camera.

Telephone support

I have been a Simplisafe user for 5 years and now use the most current system. I have begun to have issues with the system and I am very disappointed that I cannot get through on the telephone for help. Sometimes you just need a live person on the phone to help troubleshoot issues. Two different times I have sat on hold for over an hour to then be disconnected before getting anyone.. Has Simplisafe grown to the point that they cannot service their current customers? I have an entry door sensor that no longer communicates with the system.

Camera would not scan code - changed phones and no problem.

My LG v20 was giving me all sorts of problems trying to install cameras. The camera just would not scan so I decided to try my Chromebook and the cameras scanned within a second or two, no problem. If you are having problems try a different phone/tablet/etc.

Entry sensors not included in upgrade

I just tried to upgrade my system with the 40% off deal. When I placed my upgrade order, I had 28 entry sensors in the order. But when I actually received the shipment, there were 0 entry sensors in the box. I looked back at the email confirmation, and the entry sensors had been removed from my order even though the price was the same. I actually had a screenshot of my order including the entry sensors in the price i was charged. After sitting on hold for 45 minutes with Customer Service, I gave up and emailed them, and included the screenshot.

Smart lock

Got it all ready to install BUT the yellow button does not reach all the way to the lock mechanism. It’s about an inch too short. Does SimpliSafe have longer ones?

Will not update

Keypad tells me I have an update. I select install. I have placed keypad on, beside, touching and not touching the base unit 10 plus times. It rarely gets over 10 percent before the base unit tells me the update is complete and the keypad says update failed. Since the keypad never gets much over 10% download I know its not actually completing the download.

Keypad did also lose connection with base unit at one point but I pressed the button in bottom of base unit and it reconnected.

Need for Log-in Security Option Setting

System in Off mode, a smoke detector activated, then the system switched to Away. -- normal ?

When we had a smoke detector activate while the ss3 system was in OFF mode during the day,
the system apparently switched to AWAY mode, and then a bunch of sensors activated--motion and entry,
while we were moving around the rooms and area to check for smoke.

Turned the system OFF, and they stopped.

This did not happen with the old ss2 system that we upgraded a few months ago. System stayed in OFF mode,
and the only alarm was for the smoke detector.

Is that normal, or is something not working right or configured wrong ?

Smart Lock firmware 1.1.1

Anybody know anything about firmware update 1.1.1 for the smart locks?

Now every time I open my app or look at my smart locks I'm told that there is an update available to update the locks to 1.1.1. However, it wants to connect via BT, and it either drops to "not in range" after a few seconds or sticks at "connecting to lock" for eternity.

If it matters (and who knows?) the 1.5 system update isn't available for me and my keypads show my base station running 1.4.20

Motion Sensor stopped working. Removed it from system and can't re-add it

My motion sensor stopped working the other day so I decided it would be best to uninstall it from the system and then reinstall it but when I tried to reinstall the sensor nothing happened. I just kept pushing the test button to no avail. What should I do now?

FYI system is less than 3 months old.

Video Doorbell Pro

I am going thru a new installation that includes a Video Doorbell Pro. Is it possible for the base station to do the actual sound of the doorbell or do I need a traditional doorbell for this? It will be logical for the Base Station to have this function.
