I ordered my system yesterday and it has shipped. Out of curiosity I got on the Apple App store to take a look a the app. I noticed the majority of the reviews were one star. Most all of them complain that the newest version of the app is horrible and most wish the old version could still be used. Is this just a case of a few unhappy people going on line to vent or is there that big of a majority that are not happy with the current configuration? The app store shows over 1000 reviews with about 80% of them being 1 star.

Motion sensor error
hello.
I recently bought the simplisafe system. Haven't subscribed yet, just checking it out.
Question - I have the motion sensor in the basement, which is where I want to keep it. The keypad and base station are in the walk-in level. When I test the motion sensor, I hear the "motion sensor" message. However, exiting out the test mode, I get the Error : Sensor # message on the key pad and the "motion sensor is not responding" message from the base station.
Doesn't the test confirm that the signal is strong enough?

Keychain not working
Hello all,
Literally just purchased and installed this system today and the keychain stopped working. Replaced the battery and again, does not work.
Any ideas guys? Will Simplisafe help me out here as I don't feel life taking all this apart and returning to the store....

Keyboard goes to "Home" when system is off
I have pretty much had this issue since day one (a couple of years) that my main keyboard will indicate "Home" when the system is indeed Off. The only way to get the keyboard back in sync is to put the disarm code in the keyboard. The base unit then says alarm is "Off" and the keyboard stays that way for possibly a day or two then goes back to "Home" on its own. We never use home mode. We have over time changed keyboards, base unit, locations, cell network, pretty much everything.

Triggering sensors while alarm is in OFF mode?
In the instruction booklet that I received, on Page 17 Section B it says "B. Turn you alarm OFF...If a sensor is triggered, there will be a 30 second entry delay before the alarm siren sounds and the Dispatch Service is notified."
If my alarm is OFF, why would a sensor be triggered and dispatch notified? During the summer, I want to keep my doors and windows open to get a breeze going through the house. But according to this, my alarm would be triggered if I left them open longer than 30 seconds even though my alarm is set to OFF? Am I reading this correctly or is this a misprint?

Alarm went off - no call
Our alarm was accidentally set off (home mode) this morning at 430am. My husband didn't get to the keypad until about the 35/40 sec mark (my entry delay is set to 30 sec) so my sirens started going off. Once he put the code in, the alarms turned off, however, we didn't get a call from the monitoring company. I was surprised they didn't call, so I contacted SS and they informed me that because the code was put in so close to the delay mark, they would not call us and that if I want a call, I shouldn't put my code in until the 45sec/1 min mark. I was shocked!

Camera Won't Sync
My camera was working until I changed my router. The camera now has a solid yellow light on it. I have tried to connect to my new router several times with no success. Any suggestions? Yes, I have put in the correct router password.

Is 5 minutes for a call from C.O.P.S. acceptable?
I recently had a situation where I tested my alarm by deliberately tripping it while in away mode. Everything worked locally but I didn't receive a call from C.O.P.S. - at least not until 10 hours later (late at night). I missed the call by which time they had dispatched the local police but I fortunately managed to have the call canceled. Still, today I received a false alarm notice from my local Police Dept. Sigh.

Keypad not working, base solid blue
We have entered our passcode several times but nothing is happening. The base is solid blue and the keypad says alarm on, but no sensors are chiming. Again we have entered in the the correct passcode several times but nothing is happening.

Keypad battery is dead but online monitoring says OK
This is ridiculous. One of my keypads ran out of battery 2 days back. I just refreshed the setting and it says OK.. This is really nonsensical. These statuses are all false and I am paying extra $10 for wrong reports. Un-believable..

Base Station no Cell reception
My newly installed base station is not getting a consistent cell phone signal. I have moved it around my home with not much improvement. My home is in a weak cell location for some carriers. My Verizon phones do not seem to have any trouble. Just phoned, Verizon Module on the way. Cell signal was intermittent. I hate intermittent issues.

False smoke alarm
I woke up (early) this morning to a smoke alarm. Got a call right away and cancelled the alarm as there wasn't any smoke at all. Two concerns came up from this:
1) Why did the alarm go off? If we weren't home, the fire department might have likely taken an ax to the front door looking for a non existent fire. That makes false alarms kind of expensive. (Now checking to see if they support Knox boxes).
2) should the extra siren have gone off? It didn't. This time I was glad it didn't wake up my son, but if it was a real fire, I want the loud alarms going off.

Red Flashing Light on Camera
Recently, our camera has been flashing a red light which the troubleshooting in the app indicates means that it's not connected to Wifi. If I go to the app and go live, the camera works and I can see the live image. The red light then stops for a while, but it comes back. It is not always recording our entries and exits. I know what the flashing red light means, but how do I fix it so it stays connected all the time?

Verizon Vs T-Mobile
For almost 18 months after installing SimpliSafe, I kept having "No Link to Dispatch" messages. It got to a point where the system was no longer reliable. I changed the tower location several times; it would work for a couple of days and then goes down. SimpliSafe tech support had me try several ways of resetting the system. That did not solve the problem. SimpliSafe finally swapped the cell service from T-Mobile to Verizon. Happy to say that solved the problem! The system has been extremely reliable as soon as I swapped cell cards.

How to disable entry sensor open message on keypad?
I have one entry sensor placed at an interior doorway that I leave open for most of the day. The keypad will flash the "open entry sensor" message all day, which I assume drains the battery. How can I disable that message from displaying for that one sensor?
