Can I put Ss3 sensors next to other company sensors or do i need to remove those because or freq. Responce? It is a pain to remove other sensors.

Firmware Update, 4/10
Some users may have noticed that we have begun the rollout of our first firmware update for the All New SimpliSafe system.
A few noteworthy things about this update, and future updates in general:
- Users whose systems are connected to WiFi will be able to receive firmware updates. After they are downloaded, updates can be applied at the user's discretion using the Keypad. Further information about this can be found on page 21 of the All New SimpliSafe Setup Guide.

Armed away, I re-enter office but it doesn't prompt to disarm.
II just installed this in a small office. When I arm it away and leave the space and then come back in once it is armed it does not prompt me to disarm it. I opened the door and walked around and nothing happened. Assuming the motion detector would be the reason it would prompt the system to be disarmed? Is that correct?

Upgrade?
Two questions:
I have the older system (bought and installed it August 2015) -
1) I tried to use the menu on the keypad but could not follow the instructions as posted by Ben to upgrade the firmware. Did I miss something?
2) The keypad now being shipped seems to have the features that we would have wanted on our current model. Can our current modejl be upgraded with a software revision? Can we possible trade our current model in toward a newer model?

Door sensor inoperative
My system was installed in March of 2017. My most distant door sensor is 30' away from the nearest keypad and 45' away from the base station. It used to work perfectly. Now, despite changing the door sensor battery, it still does not communicate with the system. The base station constantly flashes blue, opening and closing the door causes the sensor LED to flash blue but no chime at the keypad and you get "WARNING - Door or Window Open" when you arm the system despite the house being buttoned up. Do I have a bad sensor? What should I do?

I am ready to fire these people.
Their support is truly horrible.
No one has a clue what to tell you when you move.
I have never been more disappointed in a service company in my life. Last week when I called for instructions on moving, I got treated like a leper. "just yank everything off the wall sir" That was IT. I waiting to complain to a supervisor who actually walked me through what needed to be done.
Today it takes 22 minutes to get my monitoring address changed to the new one which they have in the system already as they sent me something here.

Do the motion sensors work through glass window panes? I would like to point one out a window into a yard space if they do.

Trouble acessing account info
I'm wondering if SS is having website trouble. I have tried for several days to access my account online. When I try to view the account I land on a blank page.
At one time I did get in to update an expiring credit card, but was not sure that the process completed. Tried calling today and was on hold for several minutes, then the line went dead.

Will the base station cover the entire house if it is pluggged in on top story but needs to cover walkout basement as well.

Using Chrome to access my account
So I suddenly am not able to use Chrome to access my account. I have to fire up a different browser to access my account now. Anybody else having this problem? Anybody have a solution? Anybody know when Chro will be supported again?

Will new Motion Sensor work on screened porch?
It would be a LOT easier to mount a motion sensor on my porch (rather than 3 windows and sliding door) to control access to the back of our house.
Will the sensor work in this type on environment?
It could experience temperature ranges from 90 in the Summer to 30 in the Winter.
It *IS* protected from all the elements- except temperature.

Glass Breakage Sensor Limitations on SS3
Hi, I just received my SS3 system today. The set-up guide indicates that the glass breakage sensors need to be less than 20' from the windows you are monitoring. The nearest wall to my windows is 24', so I am thinking that the GBS will not work at 24'. Has anybody experienced the same issue? I wonder if I could just mount the GBS in the window sill next to the window. Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Priorities for alarm activation - Motion vs Entry
I'm attempting to set up my current system so that every sensor, save for the front door entry sensor, triggers an instant alarm while armed away.
My concern with this is that I have a motion sensor that captures movement in a front room but also the front door. I want to be able to enter my home and disable my alarm from the keypad without constantly triggering an instant alarm via the motion sensor that can "see" the front door.

Using SimpleSafe with a currently installed system
I am in the process of setting up SS, unable to do so yet as the base can't get a connection so SS is sending a new cell module. I have a system installed by ADT that I cancelled monitoring on. I assumed ADT would remove their equipment but they did not and it has been months. I assume that system is still functioning ,just not monitored. Is it likely the ADT system will interfere with SS?
